Our main costs revolved around transportation and actors.
Here’s a breakthrough:
Transportation costed us 1000 rupees cause well.. petrol prices are spiking…. The rest we spent on our props approx 2000 rupees and of course we had to get the actors a treat which is yet pending. We mutually kept money for that. our entire production was under 4000 rupees funded by Mirab and me.
We wanted essentially a really low budget for the film since, a lot of people told us it was almost impossible to do a film without giving money for the location. Initially, when we were preparing to shoot in androon they asked us for legal documentation from an office that was in the other corner of lahore. Nobody was allowing us with cameras anywhere. We eventually went to a park but were kicked out by the security guard himself since we refused to give him money for the premises. Safe to say after getting kicked out from half of Lahore we shot at a local villagers place and they were truly kind and welcoming (Although, there was cow dung and mud all around us). Reminded me of an indian movie I watched as a child. Ironic how things come around..
The film was truly shot on a really low budget compared to other films we saw so, we were happy with the results.
