My tea has been getting darker by the passing days which reminds me spring js here, you can smell it in the air. An update on the film is that we contacted the college faculty and arranged a meeting to enable us to promote our media product in different campuses. Unfortunately, this is only possible after the 31st of march and i am hoping to release the film on the 18th of march no matter what. Most cafés and universities ask for a proper breakdown of the film and today, I’m posting some of them here.
firstly, assuring everyone our film is worth the watch by showing different references

After watching a lot of tutorials I have successfully figured out how to make the childhood look more nostalgic and dreamy hence, we’ll go for a more dreamy look but also, keeping thw aesthetic the same.

For the scene change when the characters develop, I want the audience to sense change in time and still maintain similarity between patterns, setting and characters. The colour of clothing, the place and the actions I want to keep monotonous
Retaining culture in the frame has been a challenge since the cuts seemed to sharp and longer clips weren’t addressing the environment but we somehow found a way.
I was also inspired by the Hindi film ‘Barfi’ for its music and aestheti, the reason for not adding that to the moodboard is to ensure the actors didn’t feel a clash in both the ideas. They seemed to be two completely different genres for them but in my vision, I’m sure we can make the ends meet.
Satiyajit has also been an inspiration as in my previous task I made my entire moodboard around his work but I didn’t want to repeat the concept again. Hence, once again not making it a part of the board.
I’m attempting to film a completely new aesthetic which mixes both modern cinema and vintage. Let’s see how it goes
Incase this doesn’t cover what you’re thinking of, in the next post I’ll dive deeper into the concept.
Carpe Diem
